Leevans Jewellers has an in-house workshop enabling us to offer a full repair and alteration service in all precious metals.
We can offer you free impartial advice and guidance on how you can care and maintain your jewellery, because like a watch, jewellery needs occasional servicing and cleaning to maintain its appearance and condition.
Our Workshop can offer:
- Pearl and bead re-stringing
- Minor to major repairs, and polishing of jewellery in gold, platinum, palladium and silver.
- Servicing of all settings and claws to prevent the loss of a stone.
- Re-mounting and re-modelling service.
At Leevans Jewellers our experienced team will advise on any necessary watch repairs or alterations. We have facilities in house to preform repairs, or can offer manufacturer’s service and repairs from all watch brands that we stock.
We cover everything from a simple watch battery replacement and bracelet alterations, to refurbishment and servicing.
We undertake the repair of most watch brands, both mechanical and quartz, including high end watch brands such as Rolex, Cartier and Omega.
There is no charge for an examination and no obligation quote.
Leevans Jewellers offers an in house jewellery & watch written valuation service examined by our expert jewellers for the replacement of your item should it be lost or stolen.
This is a legal document that is to be passed on to your insurer so they are aware of exactly what it is that they are insuring, limiting any possible problems during a claim. It ensures that you have a up to date value, keeping in line with the rising costs of gemstones, precious metals and labour.
Our valuation document includes a detailed description of your item/s, a current replacement value, and digital images, presented in a wallet. You will receive 2 copies of your valuation, one for your own records and the second to be passed on to your insurer.
We also offer a service for probate valuations. Unlike an insurance valuation which indicates the full retail replacement value, this lower assessment is based on amounts likely to be achieved at auction or by selling your jewellery to the trade. It is determined by the worth of the materials and the condition of the items.
The purpose for this lower value is to offer a true selling value and not a replacement value in order to keep any tax liability to a minimum when settling the estate of the deceased.
Bespoke & CAD
Our onsite jewellery workshop enables us to create a unique, individual piece of jewellery, whether it is to re modal your family heirloom into a modern piece of jewellery, or design your very own engagement ring. All carried out by our own expert working jewellers.
We understand that it can be difficult for the customer to try to envisage the item that is being designed, therefore we use the latest CAD design software to create a 3D image of your chosen, bespoke item which enables you to see in detail and make any alterations before the item is made.
Leevans will purchase any unwanted item of jewellery, whether it be a diamond ring or broken gold items. We will pay cash for these items, offer a part exchange or we can sell on a commission sale.
We have an extensive selection of pre-owned jewellery and watches that we have been investing in over the years allowing us to pass on many great savings to you the customer.
